KEY WITNESS Takes The Stand At Michael Jackson Trial
The first person to call 911, Alberto Alvarez, presented a crucial testimony yesterday (Thursday).
During the trial, Alvarez claims (via the La Times) that Dr. Conrad Murray, Jackson’s personal Doctor, told him to stash “drug bottles, vials and an IV bag of a ‘milky, white substance.’ Propofol is white.”
“I helped Dr. Murray put the bottles and I.V. tubing in bags because I thought we were packing up to go to the hospital. I had no reason to believe that anything else was wrong,” testified Alvarez (via Radar Online).
Investigators later discovered bags containing 11 bottles of propofol stashed in a cabinet in another bedroom of Jackson’s rented mansion.
To ensure his credibility, Alvarez admitted that he deferred up to 30 offers from various media outlets to buy his story for as much as $500,000, regardless of the fact that he was in desparate need of money.
One of the most surprising claims that Alvarez made was when he said that while Jackson was laying motionless on that tragic day, in a frenzy, Murray said, “Does anyone know CPR?”
I thought he was a Doctor…
LA Times also reports, “Alvarez, who carried the title of head of logistics, said Murray was making a haphazard attempt at CPR. Jackson was on a soft surface — his mattress — and Murray was using just one hand, he said.”
David Walgren, District Attorney says, “Alberto maintained his loyalty to Michael Jackson and his children, even after he died. Alberto is very, very loyal, and he will get up on the stand and finally be able to tell the world what really happened on that tragic day. Alberto just wants to tell the truth.”
